Childproofing and protection functions

Take advantage of the child lock integrated into the Bosch Smart Home app. It lets you lock the manual push button on your new Bosch Smart Home dimmer.

Important notes and installation prerequisites

The smart dimmer controls dimmable LEDs from 5 to 120 W, as well as dimmable halogen and incandescent lamps from 10 to 200 W.

Please note the following points:

The dimmer is compatible with almost all dimmable lamps. You can set the dimming mode (phase splitting) and zone in the application.

For installation in flush-mounted boxes, a depth of at least 50 mm is required. For optimum installation, however, a minimum housing depth of 60 mm is recommended.

To supply the inverter with power, a permanent 230 V power supply with conductor and neutral conductor is required.

For outdoor use, the drive must be installed in a weatherproof enclosure (e.g. IP66).

The inverter should only be installed by a qualified professional.

The Bosch Smart Home dimmer is not compatible with an existing dimmer. To operate it manually from the wall, a conventional push-button is required. For installation in a junction box, no push-button is required.

Caution: 230 V alternating current devices must only be installed by qualified professionals. Be sure to disarm the circuit fuse before starting!

Our wall switch allows you to install your Bosch Smart Home players in a space-saving way. Thanks to its installation flexibility, it's a complete solution that can either completely replace existing switches or be used in compatible switch series already in place. Its extra-flat design saves up to 15 mm compared with conventional switches.
