How it works

Configuring the multifunction switch: The multifunction switch II has 4 buttons. Each can be associated with 2 actions, one accessible with a long press and the other with a short press. The intelligent switch lets you control up to 8 functions.

The buttons are easily configured via the application. You can configure the following functions

• Switch devices on/off (e.g. your intelligent lighting system)
• Lower/raise roller shutters Dim smart lights
• Trigger scenarios
• Activate/deactivate alarm system

You can also indicate the actions you've associated with the various buttons using the symbols provided. They apply electrostatically, so you can easily change them at any time and use them several times.

Use the system as a flexible light switch

Our customers tell us they particularly like using the Bosch Smart Home multi-function switch to control their lights.

• If you're using smart lamps, you can turn the lights on/off or dim them in 10% increments.
• Even the lights you manage via light control can be flexibly switched on or off from the multifunction switch.
• Simultaneously executed automations also allow you to switch lights off after a certain time, or switch other lights on after a certain time. For example, define the following configuration: IF the light is on, THEN switch it off automatically after 5 minutes.

Control shutters, awnings or blinds even more conveniently

A particularly useful solution in conjunction with your intelligent roller shutter control, Multifunction Switch II can also be used to control intelligent roller shutters, sunshades or awnings.

You can choose from three default settings to configure intelligent shading:

• Roller shutters are fully raised or lowered when the corresponding button is pressed.
• Roller shutters are lowered or raised when you briefly press the corresponding button; if you press and hold the button, they automatically adopt the position you prefer.
• Sunshades are lowered or raised when you briefly press the corresponding button; if you press and hold the button, you control the orientation of the slats.

Trigger scenarios and automations

The intelligent multifunction switch II lets you control not only individual devices, but also several devices simultaneously from a single button, in individual scenarios.

• For example, your "Leaving the house" scenario turns off all lights, lowers all heaters and cuts power to all connected sockets.
• In addition to your 8 favorite functions, the versatile Smart Home switch can also trigger individual automations according to the If.../Then... principle. Configure the following automation, for example: IF the button is pressed AND the shutter position is >80% AND it's dark, THEN switch on the light.
