The Smart Home thermostat for underfloor heating, gas boilers and more

Would you like to make your gas boilers or underfloor water heating systems intelligent? The 230 V Room Thermostat II is the smart solution for all heating systems with wired control!

Making boilers and underfloor heating systems smart

The 230 V Room Thermostat II intelligently and efficiently controls underfloor heating, gas boilers, radiator thermostats and other wired heating systems.

View temperature and heating status at any time

The 230 V Room Thermostat II displays the room temperature at all times, and signals actions taken with a multicolored LED light strip.

Flexible (floor) heating control

Underfloor heating can be controlled in a number of ways: from the most conventional, directly at the device, to a fully automated system using time programs, the voice assistant and, of course, the mobile device app.

Control floor heating via voice assistant

"OK Google, raise the temperature in the living room. / "Alexa, raise the living room temperature by 1 degree."

You can also control your smart thermostat for underfloor heating, gas boilers, conventional boilers and other wired heating systems by voice with ease: it's compatible with Siri voice assistants, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Integrate the 230 V Room Thermostat II into Apple HomeKit® too, so you can combine it with devices from other manufacturers.

Set the optimum room temperature

In addition to voice control, you can also operate the Room Thermostat II 230 V using the many other heating control options offered by the Bosch Smart Home app, or simply manually by pressing/turning the buttons on the device.

A practical extra: the multicolored LED light strip on the LED matrix display, which lights up automatically, provides a visual signal of actions performed. You can also adjust the brightness and duration of the display to suit your preferences.

Measure and control humidity

The 230 V Thermostat II also measures the relative humidity in a room and gives you a visual warning as soon as it exceeds the healthy limit value. This ensures a healthy indoor climate and prevents mold formation.

The coloured LED strip on the thermostat display

  • flashes blue as soon as humidity exceeds 70%.
  • flashes yellow as soon as humidity drops below 30%.

When values are normal, the display remains off and the LEDs turn green as soon as you turn the knob.

Important notes and useful information

Please note the following points during installation:

  • Product dimensions: 86 x 87. Suitable for mounting in wall sockets with 60 mm screw spacing and minimum depth from 25 mm. Note: not suitable for mounting in switch series.
  • The device may only be operated on a 230 V/50 Hz alternating current system. (Phase and neutral conductor must be present on the device).
  • Work on the 230 V network may only be carried out by a professional electrician.
  • Can be used for wired control of many heating systems. Potential-free or up to a maximum current of 3 A.

Can be used for wired control of various heating systems.

The 230 V Room Thermostat II can be used for wired control of various heating systems, potential-free or up to a maximum current of 3 A.

For example, it can be used to control the following heating systems:

  • Underfloor water heating
  • Gas boiler or other central heat generator
  • Infrared heating or electric floor heating (caution: 3 A only)

Always consult the manufacturer's instructions for your heating solution first, and ask a professional for help.

Connecting a remote sensor to optimize floor temperature

For even greater comfort, you can achieve an even more pleasant floor temperature by connecting a remote sensor. This is a particularly interesting solution for bathrooms, for example. You'll never have cold feet again in the morning!

Simply purchase the appropriate remote sensor from the manufacturer of the brand of your choice, or use the one you already have. It must be a NTC 10 kOhm type.
